ACTION
- Strengthens the bones and muscles, expels wind-dampness and eases the joints
- Relieves chronic rheumatism, backache, flaccidity and immovability of lower extremities
- Tonifies the liver and kidney
- Arrests frequent micturition (urination), enuresis (involuntary urination, bedwetting) or leucorrhagia
Usage and Dosage
6–12 g is used in decoction for oral use.
Note
Contraindicated for the patient with heat due to yin-deficiency, oliguria with brownish urine and bitter and dry feeling in the mouth.
Storage
Keep in a ventilated and dry place, and protect from moisture.
Description of Quality Herb
The good one is large in size, yellow in colour, hard and compact (non-hollow) and its slices are similar in thickness, compact and without pubescences or hollow.
