Action
- Stops bleeding and removes blood stasis
Stops bleeding caused by trauma and blood stasis, especially metrorrhagia and menorrhagia. - Promotes blood circulation to remove blood stasis
Treats angina pectoria, postpartum abdominal pain, menalgia, abdominal pain and swelling, traumatic pain due to blood stasis.
Usage and Dosage
The crude is used for removing blood stasis and relieving pain.
When the herb is stir-baked, it can be used to stop bleeding.
3–10 g is used in decoction for oral use. Wrap with cloth before decocting.

Contraindicated for pregnant women.

Professional Tips
Caopuhuang (pollen with staminate flower) is different from Cattail Pollen.
It is a mixture of pollen, stamens and anthers. The stamens are yellowish-brown and feel rough to the touch.
