Nourishes qi and yang and dissipates coldness. It is recommended for those with heavy menses due to coldness, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, abdominal pain due to coldness, aches of the waist and dysmenorrhea.
Ingredients
Argy leaf 15 g, whole chicken 1, rice wine 60 ml, onion stalks 2, salt to taste.
Preparation
- Clean the chicken, removing the head and feet. Cut into pieces and blanch in boiling water.
- Place the chicken pieces in a pot with the argy leaves and rice wine. Add an adequate amount of water and bring to a boil, then add the onion stalks.
- Simmer until the chicken becomes tender. Remove the argy leaves and add salt to taste. Take both the meat and the soup.
Tips for a Healthy Life
Not recommended for those suffering from blood fever associated with yin-deficiency. Those suffering from cold-deficiency may add 10 got milkvetch root, 10 got Chinese angelica, and 6 red dates.
