ACTION
- Benefits the kidney, preserves kidney essence
Treats kidney deficiency manifested as nocturnal emission, enuresis, impotence due to kidney deficiency. - Decreases micturition (urination)
- Promotes visual acuity
For blurred vision due to deficiency of liver and kidney. May be consumed with Glossy Privet Fruit (Nuzhenzi), Fructus Lycti, Fructus Schisandrae and Cuscutae etc.
Usage and Dosage
3–10 g is used in decoction for oral use. Also used in pills, powder, wine extract and decocted paste.
Notes
Used with caution for cases of hypo-function of kidney with fire, difficulty in urination.
Storage
Keep in a dry place.
Protect from mould and moths.

The good one is hard, yellowish green in colour, full in size and has a sour flavour.
