Action
- Removes blood stasis, moves qi and relieves pain
One of the most effective herbs for blood stasis, it is reserved for severe pain with palpable masses. Also treats amenorrhea, dysmenorrheal, postpartum abdominal pain, and abdominal masses. - Dissolves accumulations
Treats food stagnation and qi stagnation that may result in severe abdominal pain and distension.
Usage and Dosage
Used as a crude herb to promote the flow of qi to remove stasis. When stir-baked with vinegar, it removes blood stasis, reduces the masses and relieves pain.
3–10 g is used in decoction for oral use.
Storage
Keep in a dry and ventilated place.
Protect from moths.
Note
Contraindicated for pregnant women and in cases of heavy menstruation.
